Rhubarb Comedy Club: Simon Evans, Chris McCausland, Martin Beaumont, Pete Beckley, Anthony Dewson
One of the most exciting and distinctive talents to emerge on the comedy circuit in recent years. He is a familiar voice on BBC Radio 4 as a regular on The News Quiz, The Unbelievable Truth and Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive. 'Absolutely brilliant' according to Caroline Aherne, and he has justified the tag, regularly selling out his shows in Edinburgh and racking up the television and radio credits. Plus, he dresses smartly and uses no bad language whatsoever...!

Although hailed as the only blind comic on the stand up circuit, comedian Chris McCausland makes light of it. He usually begins with a crack about the irony of a blind man doing observational comedy and then speeds off into his entertaining and refreshing set, making wry and perceptive comments about the rich and famous, every day life and suchlike. Instantly likeable and definitely memorable.
'Proper stand up, honest straightforward and balls-out funny' (Chortle)
'A must see!' (The Sunday Times)
'Always excellent' (The Times)
'Truly brilliant' (Three Weeks)
'... fabulously funny and a definite highlight' (Leicester Mercury).

Martin Beaumont is a true old school stand-up, a master of the one liner, who can handle anyone from drunken grannies to boisterous rugby players. Having made his name with a whole show devoted to White Van Men at Edinburgh, Martin has expanded his repertoire to include a whole host of subject matter – and all of it funny. He won the Time Out's Critics Choice for Sunspots.

Multi award winning comedian with a quirky deadpan delivery and a sometimes surreal take on things. Pete was the Costa Light Comedy Challenge Winner in 2011 and Reading Comedy Festival New Act of The Year in 2012 and has gone on to win a handful of other comedy awards. He now performs all over the UK in venues big and small.
"Stand-out gags" - Chortle
"like a bewhiskered English Emo Philips" - Chortle
"Loaded's favourite on the night was the clearly bonkers Pete Beckley" - Loaded Laftas 2011
