I don't know what gig Jammy was at! I've seen Emma twice now-at Bristol and FarmFest in Somerset and thought on both occasions she was superb-great heartfelt songs and a real cracking voice. The sound in Tob Factory isn't the best system in the world but that aside I thought Emma and Theo were both great - her myspace site demonstrates this!

By the way chaps this girl has just recorded at Abbey Road for the BBC Children in Need album and featured on BBC 6Music and has been getting some great reviews around the country!!

I'm sure she's a pretty good egg and doesn't deserve such unconstructive critisim even if it's not your "cup of tea"!!

And if you're wondering, I don't know her, I'm a music journalist and have been keeping tabs on her for some months now

I have to admit to being dragged along by my girlfriend...I'm afraid female singers with guitars are usually really really not my cup of tea!! I was however very pleasantly surprised. I think the girl has a fantastic voice. Now I know nothing about singing but the comments on here are so far from accurate it's unbelievable!! A very talented songwriter and I think she could go far!! Theo was a fabulous talent also - great use of a loop and fabulous guitar technique at such a young age!!

I have to disagree with all the bad posts here.  Admittedly, the sound quality wasn't the best but her performance was brillaint.  Some happy catchy tunes and others that lyrically really hit home.

I know this all comes down to personal taste, but I feel that objective reviews would be more constructive.

The venue was also brillaint.  Reasonable drink prices and also some nice local brews.

All in all, a cracking night.

Little Theo Altieri was very good, a little shining star in the making and should really have been headlining the night. It all looked like it was shaping up to be a very enjoyable evening, However Emma Payn is quite possibly the WORST singer I have ever heard. She hurt my ears with the terrible noises coming out of her mouth. Whoever told her she should attempt doing this is cruel to both her and lovers of music. Stop her before she deafens someone. The venue is great, the drinks are reasonably priced and the company was fab. Shame about the headliner :-/
