I saw Rolo Tomassi i while ago with You Me At Six at the Barfly in Camden. When i heard her sing i had to take a second look, not many girls can do "screamo"!
It's a once in a lifetime experience! :D

Wow, what a performance! And what a way to be introduced to the festival experience. Having arrived at Sonisphere later than intended and missing Coheed & Cambria's whole set the next band i was looking forward to seeing was Rolo Tomassi. I had seen their support slots with Blood Red Shoes and Melt Banana so knew what to expect, but they really ramped up their performance, perhaps seizing the moment to win over some new fans from curious festival music lovers. Well they had me transfixed from start to finish, oozing energy, confidence and style. Every member of the band seemed like they were having multiple orgasms throughout and for half an hour were in their own private heavens. That's not to say they were distant as they had an immediate rapport with the crowd and their excitement was contagious. Although an avid gig goer this was my first taste of the festival experience and Rolo Tomassi made it one i'll never forget.

I first saw Rolo Tomassi in a support slot in Bristol, so I was looking forward to seeing them on a big stage at Sonisphere.
James started up the synths and began twitching, running and jumping about.
The rest of the band sauntered on and played some abstract sounds.
I loved watching the look on people's faces as Eva bounced on stage - a tiny, blonde, short-haired girl in a red dress, dancing as though she were the star turn at a school show.
Jaws dropped as she then growled, grunted and wailed her way through the next half hour, a noise so unexpected and genuinely scary that I swear the front 3 rows took a step backwards! Festival magic.
