I saw Treebeard earlier this year (2008) at the New Inn.  They played a very long set, it seemed that they were enjoying themselves so much they didn't want to stop and the audience didn't want them to stop.  They are a very talented bunch and play a mixture of folk & rock and a couple of balalikas(?)  appeared in the middle of the set and we were treated to a couple of russian folk tunes.  It was a fabulous evening and I am looking forward to seeing them again on 19th December, it will be a great start to Christmas.
