I saw Maggie Bell at Lichfield Art Centre about a year ago, she was fantastic, I have been a fan of Maggie's for 30years so this was a special night for me..she still is up there with Joplin as the best rock and blues artist.. I think she is a credit to Glasgow, and per perents must be very proud of their daughter to have done so well and survived the rock life ... the only regreat I had that night was not being able to thank Maggie Bell for keeping me company for 26years with her music all the times in my bedsit when i worked away from home... well i would like to thank you now Maggie fantastic Bell. From a matured 56year old rock fan.
I saw Maggie at a tiny venue in Chester a few weeks ago. There were no more than 65 people there but what an amazing gig. Blues and soul from the heart accompanied by Dave Kelly an amazing guitarisr/slide player. Maggie does NT like the "janis" tag and doesn't need it - she is a survivor and deservedly so. Enough from me - check out her website and Dave's too. If you want emotion and technical virtuosity coupled with warmth and sincerity, you will not be even marginally disappointed with Maggie Bell.
