If you like Seasick Steve. Check out Tony Joe White! First listened to him in the late 60's. Good old swamp music!!!
I`ve seen Seasick twice now, first was at the Connect festival in august 2007 and agn at T in the park 2008 and he was immence!.."he know`s how 2 get the crowd going, cant wait 2 see him agn":)
Once again I'm posting my views.
I just caught an ad on sky of seasick steve and just loved the guitar riffs. So I trawled the internet and found some albums which of course I ordered. I've just spent the day listening to the first of the two ordered. It's excellent and so personal, I love the story at the end and what a voice, very soothing and god it made me laugh! Hope he enjoys continued success, proper R & B cajun style! Lovin it, long may u play!!

When i heard Seasick Steve was playing such a small venue i was thrilled and his performance didn't dissappoint! The support acts Ian Parker and Scott Matthews were great too. Didn't get there early enough to see the female singer so can't comment on her. I had really turned up for Steve though.... To see if he was as good in the flesh and as endearing as he is on his CD's. He is!! He was brilliant, energetic, charismatic and funny. Loving the fact that he swigged red wine from a bottle all through his performance. Loved his rendition of Walking Man and the never ending version of Dog House Boogie. The man knows how to work a crowd and brought out both his three string guitar and one string diddley-bo for the show. Just watching the man go was fantastic. Can't wait for him to come back to the Midlands.
