The Stone Roses - Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary 'Mani' Mounfield and Alan 'Reni' Wren - were one of the pioneering bands of the 'Madchester' scene in the late '80s-early '90s. Their eponymously named debut album, released in 1989, is still regarded as one of the greatest British albums of all time. The Stone Roses eventually split in 1996 following the departures of both Reni and John Squire. In 2012, the original members finally put aside their differences to stage one of the most acclaimed reunion tours in rock music history.

Sydney 1995 / 1996 (roughly) best night, they were just amazing. Remember it to this day - small theatre, health and safety didn't seem to be an issue in those days. Nicola Bean
