i saw a Hawk &  hacksaw play two years ago in newcastle ( and being from Hungarian stock) absolutley loved their mix of uptempo folk and eastern -european blend. A total experience not to miss. You could almost close your eyes and think of being serenaded in a cafe in one of budapest's down town diastricts.
I don't my partner would forgive me if i didn't take her too see them play again. And she doesn't care much for folk music, but had to admit that it was one of the best gigs we've been to for the twelve years we've been together !!
