If Devon Sproule was an animal she would surely be a bird, and a wren comes to my mind, I think because of a sort of nervous, edgy, vulnerability she gives out.  And the voice of ...enough of that....she is a delight to hear and see.  With a lyrical sophistication way above her years some of her songs already have the label of classics in my book.   Philip Cunliffe captures her character well, tho' I think the sentiments behind her lyrics are more than just "home-on-the-farm".  See  http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/cambridgefolkfestival/2008/lineup/devonsproule/
