Have been a huge fan of Paul Rodgers since my teens...he is certainly one of the very few singers who could cover the songs Freddy immortalised.  Saw the Newcastle gig and left early!  The sound, at floor level was apalling! ....certainly didn't reach me!  I have seen many bands at the Arena, and never encountered this problem before.  Felt like grabbing the sound guy (just a few metres from me ) and telling him to take the b...... cans off and hear what I was hearing!  Some improvement in levels after an hour or so...but by then I was frankly, rather bored!!!  Sooooooooo disappointed.

Well what can I say? This concert was one of the highlights of my life! From start to finish an adrenalin rush. Paul Rodgers has been criticised many times as Freddie Mercury's successor. BUT, in my humble opinion as an avid Free fan, one of a VERY short list of singers who could in any way begin to fill the, no doubt, sparkly shoes left by Freddie. Without Paul, Brian and Roger would find it very difficult, in any way,to tour with their extensive and marvellous repertoire of songs. I was one of Freddie's biggest fans, but willing to give Paul a chance, and I'm so glad I did!. My only regret is that at 5'2'' and having a standing only ticket, I couldn't get nearer to the action! THE COSMOS ROCKS and so do Queen + Paul Rodgers.

I loved Freddie and I never thought I'd enjoy a Queen concert again. Saw  Paul at Hyde Park, not really looking forward to it, but was happilly blown away by his professionlism and not trying to imitate Freddie, but almost shown a reverence in his own style. Faboluos vocals, not Freddie, but still a rollicking good show . Again at the O2, full of foreign visitors, we showed how Britain still rocks!!
