I went to see The Pipettes new line up a couple of weeks ago. I have always been a huge fan and was quite sad about rose and becki leaving but I thought I would give the new line-up a go. The new songs were pretty weak and they came across as more of a cheesy cabaret act rather than the feisty trio that they were before. I was disappointed to be honest!

I saw the Pipettes last night for the first time in several years because their gigs generally seem to be London based. They've had a lot of line up changes to the extent that there's only one of the girls I saw last time left. The elements which have been retained (cute songs, co-ordinated dancing) are fun. Sadly they've dropped the matching dresses. I was disappointed that the singing seemed to be a bit screechy at times (maybe the sound wasn't quite right). The new songs aren't as good as the old ones.

Good, but they've been better.
