I didn't know what to expect at first.  I had NEVER seen him before, either with Orange Juice or by himself solo.  Sure, I had seen most of the video clips of his live concert appearances on YouTube, but I realized that his current performance might not be what I had seen on YouTube.  Really, all I wanted was for Edwyn to perform the way he felt best doing.  I wanted to share in all the love and support of him with the audience since his rehabilitation from both his strokes.  Both nights he performed all his best known songs with Orange Juice and solo, including What Presence, Blue Boy, Rip It Up, and A Girl LIke You.  The band, including Roddy Frame of Aztec Camera on lead guitar, did a killer job behind him.  His voice was strong and fluid.  His sense of humor was fun, and he obviously enjoyed every moment of being back on stage.  I was THRILLED by both evenings.  If Edwyn came to my native Bay Area to perform, I'd totally see him again, without hesitation.
