this was the first time i have seen A7X and have been waiting for agees to see them.
i was very impressed with them, the crowd was buzzin adding even more excitment to the atmosphere :)
A7X played reli good and interacted with the crowd, which i believe makes a gig even better :)
the first sight of M Shadows and Synester Gates just got me even more excited :)
i crowed surfed for the fist time also to A7X which was amazzing :) they made my weekend end great and can't wait for them to come back to the uk :)
the only bad point was having a pinata thrown right next to me with food in but that didnt even dampen my spirit :)

Now I've got to say, Avenged Sevenfold are a brilliant band live and Sonisphere was no exception!

Being the next band right after Nine Inch Nail's very passionate though, maybe even a little secluded performance, the massive crowds desperately needed something to dig their teeth in to and rip apart before the weekend’s finale by the legends of metal themselves, Metallica! And thus, A7X delivered, and damn did they delivered well!

The beginning sound of the Organ from there song Critical Acclaim had the crowd immediately roaring with excitement! Everyone then went quiet and started singing the famous first few words 'Shhh... Quiet, you might p*ss somebody off' then after everyone started jumping and moshing like there was no tomorrow!

After only a couple of songs, 'The Rev' rocked out too hard and managed to break the bass drum which lead to a comical 5 minutes with 'Synyster Gates' doing a mini solo to accompany the wasted
time, but soon after they were back on and pleasing everyone as they do.

Nearing the end of their performance the last song they played was 'Almost Easy' from thier latest album and by this point everyone went wild! There were a mass amount of crazy circle pits and an even crazier amount of crowd surfers, you had to keep looking back just incase a crowd surfer was about to land on your head!

For me this was the best gig of the night, or atleast the most energetic. A great warm up to get everyone hyped before Metallica played. So if you get the chance, go see them as you will not regret it!

Saw Avenged Sevenfold at Sonisphere this weekend, they're my fave band and I've been dying to see them for ages, they were all brilliant, played fantastically, and just gave us all a really good show. I'm so glad I went, now that I've seen them once, I can't wait to see them again!

This was the third time I'd seen Avenged this year and because of the small capacity of the venue and the difficulty of getting tickets I was expecting them to be even better than the last times I'd seen them.
Unfortunately they weren't.

The atmosphere was great, all the fans were friendly, the band themselves played pretty much perfectly and aside from very boring support act it was quite enjoyable. However I think there was just something missing, I don't know whether it was the fact that the set list seemed really short and was primarily made up of singles and songs I'd seen them play before or that the singers voice wasn't working too good (they pulled out of Reading a few days afterwards) but the show never quite reached an exciting climax. I'm not saying that they were rubbish, I just think that they could've been a lot better.

However when I saw them in January they were amazing. I'd recommend them to anyone who is interested in fast dual guitar work and clever musicianship and/or if Avenged Sevenfold are one of your favourite bands.
