Billy Talent are definitely one of the most exciting bands I've seen and at Give It A Name '08 they completely surpassed my expectations and in my opinion where easily the best band on the bill.

The band were great at getting the crowd going, it was completely mental from the first song right until they left the stage. Ben Kowalewicz has a really unique voice and seemed very at home hurtling around the stage while the rest of the band pumped out their annoyingly catchy riffs.

The set list included the more well-known and newer songs like Red Flag and Surrender as well as older tracks such as Try Honesty and The Ex.
The band played all of the songs perfectly and it was over too quickly.

Billy Talent are a must-see for any rock fan because of their original and interesting sound.

Billy Talent are one of the best bands i have every seen live, they put so much energy and comitment into giving the fans a show to remember.

From start to finish they gave 110% and the crowd loved it, mixing old and newer songs, not just playing like the current album playlist like so many other bands are fond of doing live.

Both support bands did well, Cancer bats truely waking the audience up after a delayed start due to technical gremlins.

With regards to the O2 academy, i prefered the older venue to be honest, but at least the security got people into the gig faster than the old place.

Billy Talent are an amazing band, they have 3 albums and all have some spectacular songs on them, on friday night they did every thing right, they played amazingly they had pretty good supports, the only mistake they made was they chose to play at the barowlands which is not a nice venue, there are holes in  the ceiling it is way to hot and at no point can it get properly dark, i hope when they come back they play at the abc or garage.
