Dublin-based quartet Bell X1 take their name from the first aircraft to break the sound barrier. They make 'skinny white boy' music, infused by Talking Heads, Blondie and The Byrds. The public don't seem to mind as Bell X1 are rapidly becoming hot property in their native Ireland. High profile support slots for the likes of Tom McRae, Elliot Smith and Bon Jovi have helped.
