The Specials are coming to NZ  1st Aug  still pinching myself , seen them in 1980 when I was 12 best gig ever gutted when they split, this will be a very special gig indeed, any Kiwis reading this get your tickets quick you will not be dissapointed.

Saw the hometown show at Coventry Ricoh Arena last night 15 May 2009. Incredible gig. The energy level from the band and the fans was amazing. I loved them first time around and now it's so great to get the chance to see them live. Definitely grab as many chances as possible to see them live. A brilliant return from a brilliant band.

fantastic gig  atmosphere was amazing,still gorgeous boys,all songs covered so glad got the opportunity to see them again,one hour &half of pure genius,loved it loved loved it .if you get a chance to see them grab the tickets with both hands glad to see you back boys dont leave it so long next time

Coventry's finest make a triumphant return for their 30th anniversary tour. Ive never seen a  band so anticipated before they took to the stage, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife.I was too young to have the privelage to see The Specials first time round but god am I glad I got the opportunity. Terry Halls self-conscious posture and Neville Staple's energetic stomping was true to form of previous performances that id only been able to see on dvd. As the band powered through their back catalogue, the crowd (made up of all ages) sang along to every song. With the current state of the country, it goes to show that The Specials lyrics are as relevant today as they were thirty years ago. Just a shame that Jerry Dammers could'nt make it. As an added bonus I met the band afterwards and they all signed my programme and stood round chatting for half an hour. An absolutely brilliant night.
