Having seen them a few times before I was really up for this, especially as tickets were hard to come by!! The new song Invaders Must Die gave us a hint at what sound to expect, which was more old skool dance mixed with modern day Pendulum. Cant complain with that!! The warm up DJ Eddy Temple Morris got the jibe so right we he played Eric Prydz 'Pjanno', the crowd were also dancey and up for it, unfortunately he then played Rage Against The Machine Killing in the game!! WHY! This turned a proper ravey dancey crowd into a punk gig. Prodigy came on and this vibe continued. The bass was turned down and the volume up (typical metal set up). I was quite suprised because this wasnt expected. In fact when they played the new song again it was drowned out and almost inaudiable because of no bass and too loud! Then Maxim asked for a mosh circle to happen in the middle!! WHY! It was then like a Slayer gig. I love the Prodigy and they were the best live band ever. They themselves just need to decide what genre they want to be. You cant play 'Your Love' (early 90's rave) then ask for a mosh circle. I am seeing them in April and hope they get back to how they were.

Wow! What a return to form!
After a suprisingly so-so show at Brixton in December I was eager to find out how this show was to pan out. The support was Dizzee Rascal, who put on a good show considering the crowd wasnt too into him! He done well.
The Prodigy came on to Worlds On Fire and the crowd went wild! What was fantastic was the crowd were fab, no pushing or stupidness as the Brixton show was (coastal crowds are so much better!!) but what was even more apparent was the sound. The Bass ripped thru you! You could feel the music, which is what makes a Prodigy gig so special! The volume wasnt excessive but the Bass was full-on, which felt fantastic! New songs and the oldies all sounded superb. The set list, the crowd, the sound, was all great. They finished on Out Of Space and we all walked onto Brighton seafront sweaty, remarking with others how excellent the show was.

Wow what a show!
Bought these tickets months before the actual show and the reviews for their festival performances were fantastic. On the night Id managed to get a good spot with my mate near the front. They came on to 'Smack,' and played almost all of the 'Fat of the land' album and the singles from Jilted. The sound was incredible. Not too loud but the bass ripped thru you! Literally making you burp!! Keith crept round the speaker stack to the side of the stage where everyone was unaware! We managed to touch him, then had about 30 people jump on us to try and get to him! They finished with Full Throttle as the lights came up. We were drenched with sweat and everyone was buzzing after this show. In this year the Prodigy were voted Best Live Act and Brixton Academy the Best Venue. This was so true. The show and sound was superb. Ive been to many various gigs, this was the best.

Having seen them many years before in their peak it was interesting how this show was to be. The support was from Audio Bullys who did good then Prodigy came on after 9pm with 'Break and Enter'. The place went wild and the band put so much effort into their performance. What was evident was the setlist. Their back catalogue is so strong they didnt need anything new. The crowd couldnt get enough of it, we all danced for hours. I must say the Prodigy crowd is one of the most friendliest crowds too. Everyone chilled and there for a good time. They finished with Out Of Space and we all spilled out onto the streets into the night. We went straight to a club and had 4 pints to wind down!!! Others there were asking 'Did you go to that show too? Wow!!'. Thats when you know you went to a good show!!
Prodigy really are the best Live Act.

Saw them first on the Fat of the Land tour in 1997 - and then 11 years later at Vfestival - absolutely love them - Kieth and Maxim are just mesmerising on stage. The great thing about the prodigy, i think, is that no matter where you see them, it feels like an illegal old scool rave - even at a massive corporate event like V. Congrats to those who got tickets for the smaller shows - these will be truly amazing, sadly i'm missing out this time round.
