From the moment he leaps on to the stage, Dara is instantly likeable, and more importantly - very funny. There must be a lot of routine jokes that he does every night, but his banter and interaction with the audience are so quick, and so face-hurtingly funny, that you're left with the feeling that this was a one off performance, just for you. It's impossible to re-tell any of the jokes here, but two of my favourites included a lengthy discussion with the audience on how to deal with burglars in your house, and Dara's encounter with a hotel's nightly "turn down team". Brilliant.

My experience of Dara was limited to Mock The Week although I knew he did stand up and had been told he was very good. I really enjoyed the show and thought the whole thing was very well balanced with audience participation interlaced with his own material. It was a really fun night and his style is very relaxed like you're chatting to a mate......just a very funny mate!!!! It was a nice change from the very full on comedians I had seen recently. I'd DEFINATELY go to see him again and would recommend him to anyone with a sense of humour!!!
I got tickets for my birthday, including 2 for some great friends of ours, to see Dara at the Colston Hall in Bristol. Despite Bristol being my "local" city as a teenager I had managed somehow never to go to the Colston Hall before so this was a great treat. We had the compulsory pre show drinks and then went into the event hall. I have only been to the Bristol Hippodrome before and found this venue felt more homely - mind you we did have great seats fairly near to the stage. It was fantastic! Dara was sooo funny, much better than I could possibly have dreamt of, and my worries that our friends might not enjoy the show were quickly dispelled when it was clear that they were laughing as much as the rest of us. If you are shy I wouldn't recommend getting front, or even first few row seats - you WILL get invloved - but nobody minded, and it really added to the fantastic show. Would I go again - heck, when is he next performing???????
