As a midlander who was born & bred in Walsall, I have known Jasper way before his fame . many of us used to visit the Folk Clubs where he performed regularly, but in those days he used to sing Folk Music very professionally as well as perform his now well renowned comedy act.
He is an excellent performer in every possible way, and is just as friendly a bloke off stage as on. He will always remain a favourite with me, and as a proud Walsall F.C supporter who has since 1973 held a Season Tickret at Charlton Athletic, can only sympathise with his choice of team and directorship. It would be a great privelage to meet up with him again when Birmingham City visit The Valley.
The only blot on his landscape is 'Golden Balls' all I can say on that score is it must be a very lucrative contract.
