Cool Martin Fry lived up to expectations and played all the old favourites but sadly nothing from Beauty Stab, which was an unjustifiably maligned album . I forgot how brilliant his lyrics were and that he wrote such great songs. Shame none of the originals apart from Martin were there but band played well. "All of my heart" was a particular highlight and made me understand that one day Martin will find true love. I walked into the night in my gold lame suit with the sleeves of my jacket rolled up but sadly forgot the accent on the "e" and was therefore not as cool as I thought.

That was then but this is now. This was a stunning gig and it was great to see David Palmer back on drums where there was tempo and real rhythm in the cymbals. There was no diminishing returns here and when Martin came out in the Gold Lame' suit he found true love i.e. 4,000 devoted fans.

One of the best performances that I have seen from Martin. It was great to hear tracks from this year's album Traffic as well as all the classics. The songs are timeless and Martin is a true hero!!!! Long may he continue.
