Event Venue: glasgow academy
Fantastic, venue, with loads of free parking near by, easy access to bars inside, great atmosphere. Elbow were truly fantastic, beautfully crafted songs delivered to perfection. Great support from Jessica loop. the only criticism, was the terribly over zealous private security firm that the academy had employed, they were a bloody nuisance, and did their best to spoil the show for anyone that took any notice of them, they were telling people to sit down whilst clapping the final song, they stood right on top of you so it distracted you from the show, they were terribly amateur, however this aside, this was one of the best band performances I have ever seen and I have seen a few. I got my tickets off this website for £17.50 each which was brilliant, considering, parasites on e bay were looking for 70 quid a throw. regards Damian.

Beautiful. In voice and in attitude. Each member of Elbow displayed their artistry in creating the most sublime musical sounds this side of the eather. These worldly-wise angels came down to cover this crowd in the rich agonies of love, loss and the usual soul clenching/soul lifting topics that each of us deal with in our lives. The ecletic crowd of farmers on their night off, fishwives, hip young things and a bunch of scruffy kids were collectively entranced and lifted to combine in shared heartbreaks, joys and the crunching power of being together there in this hall enjoying this moment as one great peice of the jigsaw that was this event.
Elbow are truly worth driving from the next county to enjoy. Worth standing for four hours with a back ache for. Worth risking a night out with your Dad for.

Just an utterly fabulous gig and with great sound quality. Elbow were obviously in the mood for celebrating their recent awards haul, and proved once again why they're so highly rated. The set list was a nice mix of old album tracks and tracks from Seldom Seen Kid, and included an appearance from our man Hawley. My only disappointment was they didn't play Forget Myself. I think I may want Guy's babies ;)
I have been an Elbow fan for over 10 years and the pride I felt when they won the Mercurys was overwhelming, it was as though the love and admiration that I had for them was proven to everyone else. They are so modest with the best albums ever released, put that into a live performance and you are simply blown away. Their tour last week stopped at home in Manchester and to see them on home turf was simply brilliant with a great performance with Richard Hawley too.
Keep it coming lads your the best!
' wasn't too excited about going to the gig but I was completely bowled over by Elbow. Guy's warmth shone throught the whole set, from his on stage banter to his sublime singing - a really tight set
