Eddie, Eddie,
At last we were able to get tickets to see you live! Bexhill was the venue - London wouldn't let us book when we tried online. A lively, expectant audience became gradually more hushed throughout the first half of your performance. The sound system was so poor that we were unable to distinguish the words being spoken. People were guffawing at the sounds coming from the microphone but then heard to whisper to each other "what did he say"? We didn't wait to see the second half. There didn't seem to be any point. Or are we missing the point.........
I've been a massive fan ever since he first appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in 1993, before he became the star he now is. Having seen him live now on 4 occasions (the 5th will be the Stripped tour!) I can honestly say, he's remained as funny if not become even funnier. A true genius of comedy, his ideas are bizarre but hilarous. His intelligence is obvious as he makes observations on topics ranging from Noah's Ark to purring / drilling cats, touching on more sensitive topics without offending. I never tire of watching him, especially now he's looking so trim and sexy (love the goatee!).
He's hilarious on TV (I'm sure no-one who watches Have I Got News For You will forget him taking the p**s out of Piers Morgan) but even more so live - it's a true pleasure to watch him in action.
I highly recommend seeing him live and if you aren't able, go and invest in his live show DVDs - they're worth every penny!!

My boyfriend and I went... paid fortune for the tickets on ebay.. and they were worth every penny!!! Love him, i am going to see him this year!! Get my tickets early this time though! He is intelligent and totally engaging; a comedian who does need to be coarse or crude to have you in stitches!! Go see Eddie!!! ... Clearly Jean the PA was sh*t and you missed out!
he's such a star. executive transvestite etc etc set aside, he is more than just the gimmick that many people remember him for. From "a day in the death of joe egg" to hollywood to standup to documentary, is there anything he can't do... fluently in 3 languages!? I aspire to be that absurd and intelligent.

I actually love him, having waited years to see him live, I was worried I would be dissapointed.. Luckily he has lost none of the flair and intelligence that makes him so good. I am already impatient for the next tour - The venue was a really nice space and all worked perfectly. When we left, we all had aching faces from laughing so much! As many stars as is possible to give!
