Yet again The Wildhearts blew me away, great gig and great energy from the band. despite sound issues they got on with it and played their hearts out.

As a fan of the Wildhearts for many years, I have to say they are top live band, as demonstrated by their recent collection of the "spirit of independence" award from Kerrang.
However the sound at Sonsiphere was completely wrong due to a mountain of technical issues. Nevertheless, the band gave it their all - would you expect anything else from a band with a past as turbulent as theirs? Almost as if there was nothing wrong, Ginger threw himself into a back catalogue of genuine hard rock n' roll, while CJ blasted out those clasic Wildhearts riff and solos.
In conclusion If this was your first experience of The Wildhearts - whether you thought it was good or not - erase it from your memory and go see them in September when they tour the UK with a new album to boot...

Having only heard the Wildhearts on the internet before I was completely blown away by how amazing their set was. Despite having technical issues with the sound their performance was electric and everyone in the Bohemia tent was giving it their all. I'd definitely recommend giving this band a damn good listening to.

The Wildhearts finally hit the stage at half past midnight on the first day of music at Sonisphere. The crew had been battling with the equipment and themselves to try and get the show going but Ginger's guitar sound still never quite sounded sweet enough.
But as the band whipped into Vanilla radio, Everlone and a bunch of other old favourites it didn't seem to matter anymore. The band got great energy from the crowd considering the time and even dared to preview a new track 'The Jackson Whites' which indicates that the new album will be a corker.
The Bohemia tent in which they played certainly warmed up in the early hours of Sunday morning thanks to a massive triumph from the Wildhearts.
