Rainbow tribute bands are pretty thin on the ground in the north of England, so when I heard that this band were to play in Wakefield, come hell or high water, I was never gonna miss out. I entered a sparsely populated music room in time to catch the end of Mistreated, performed (staggeringly well) as a sound check. It was a momentous sign of things to come!

I cannot remember the track listing in order, but what I can say to anyone who sees this band is "close your eyes, and listen to magnificently performed replicas of Rainbow's classic studio and live cuts. Eyes still shut, I swear that could be Richie himself up there!"

Whether sung by Dio, Bonnet, Turner or White, the vocalist has a range to encompass the entire catalogue, from Man on the Silver Mountain to Stone Cold and from Since You Been Gone to the irrepressible Stargazer.

You will not be disappointed. Come along and relive the halcyon days of a band which, at its peak, bestrode the world of classic rock like a colussus! A fiver well spent. Cannot wait to see you again!
