This was my first time seeing James Grant as a solo performer and he did not disappoint. James played a mix of old and new songs, including many from his days with Love and Money.
With Donald Shaw on piano, Ewen Vernal on Bass and Monica Queen on additional vocals, the audience were treated to superbly crafted songs, outstanding musicianship and that perfect voice.
James and the band played for around an hour, the songs included such beautiful songs as I Can't Stop Bleeding, Winter, Holy Love, Walk The Last Mile and for the encore, the classic Does It All Add Up To Nothing?
I had a quick chat to James after the gig and he was very friendly and chatty and posed for photos with his faithful fans.
James returns to the Georgian Theatre on December 13th, if you want to see a great singer-songwriter playing live, then look no further - you will not regret it.

After decades of listening to Love and Money and James Grant's music. It was worth the wait to see James Grant live, at the quaint Geogian Theatre. The intimate concert exceeded all my expectations. James' voice was outstanding, accompanied by the talented muscians. Thoroughly, one of the best gigs I've had the privilege to attend. I have ordered tickets to see him again at The Georgian Theatre in December. Can't wait!
