I was there!! After hearing rave reviews of the first free beach gig the year before, I had to go to this one.
This was the first real sunny Saturday of the year, Free and at the seaside! I knew it would be massive.
We got there at 7am and parked in the street well away from the seafront! Hours later it was heaving. The beach was so packed that we had to get our spot for the gig at 2pm!  He came on with 'Just wont do' and played a good set. The highlight for me was Layo & Bushwacka's 'Love Story'. The show was halted twice due to people on the sea wall (groyne). Trying to keep upright on the stones was tricky and the sun setting directly behind the stage was quite painful on the eyes!
He made a good effort with a great fireworks display and bubbles blown over the crowd. At the end it was quite scary trying to move around with 250,000 other people. Luckily I made it back to London safely.
