Skindred are one of the most underrated bands around.
I've been a fan for quite a while now and there live shows are unbelieveable and getting better all the time.
There mix of reggae and metal shouldn't work at all. But Skindred blend to two seemlessly and it superb.
What makes them really stand out is the live preformance though. I recently went to see them at the ULU. It was one of the best gigs i've EVER been to and that says a lot.Frontman Benji worked the crowd all night!
I had thought that maybe some of there live show would be lost in a bigger arena. But i seen them at Download Festival this year and i can't remember a crowd being so excited and worked up by a band on early in the day. (i think it was 2pm)
Check them out!!!!!!!
All I can say is WOW.
Went to go see them as part of the Eastpak Antidote Tour 2008. I'd never heard of them before. But man they were awesine! Was really panicking it was gonna be a rap thing over some punk. But it wasn't. Thank god!
If you get the chance to go see these, and you like your punk, go ahead. You will not regret it!

It's ten past one in the afternoon of the first day at Sonisphere festival. A large crowd has gathered around the Saturn stage for the reggae metal band Skindred. As they blast into their first song, the sea of people below them moves. Benji has the crowd feeding out of the palm of his hand as people bounce and sing to songs such as “Pressure” and “Ratrace”. This is a truly underrated band, that not only creates exciting and original music, but puts on a great show that gets everyone in the audience involved. As their set ends, Benji is left on stage to humorously wave good bye to the audience while playing tunes from his toy keyboard. A performance like this should have been worthy of main stage material and is probably one of my favorite performances of the weekend. I'm already planning to see them again on their upcoming tour, and I would recommend seeing this band to everyone. Skindred does not disappoint.

Skindred do an AMAZING performance everytime.
Benji really knows how to get a crowd pumped. Whether he wants you dancing or moshing, by the opening song the crowd went cazy!
Some of THE neicest guys I've ever met aswell, back at the signing tent or generaly walking round the arena, they're up for a chat =]
Deffinatly put a smile on my face, I thought it was the best performance of the weekend.

This was my fifth time seeing Skindred, but every time feels like a first. With Bass fueled Regga beats, a slice of Punk, and a pinch of METAL, it was going to be Monumental. Having only seen Skindred indoors, it felt so good to have Sonisphere's fresh air, huge space, and for all to enjoy. I can safely say I would highly recommend seeing them, but it might become very addictive!!
