Born and raised in Queens, Action, real name Arian Asllani, was fed on a diet of hip hop from an early age, citing the discovery of Wu-Tang's Clan album '36 Chambers' aged ten and Kool G Rap as massive influences on his lyrical style. His enthusiasm for food led Action to attend the Art Institute of New York City's culinary program and go on to become a well-respected gourmet chef in the City, until he broke his leg in January 2011 and turned to his other love; rapping. Realising he could combine both music and food, the artist began releasing mixtapes with foody themes ('Bon Appetit…Bitch!!!!!') and giving his tracks tasty titles (Jerk Chicken, Forbidden Fruit, Eggs On The Third Floor). The result was lyrics that were full of passion and tunes with absolutely no artificial preservatives!
