Anybody who hasn't heard of Coldplay by now must be living under a rock.
Coldplay have risen to international fame and success with their piano-driven soft rock sound, a perfect blend of melody, emotional lyrics and vocals, and expansive, sing-along choruses.
It is not their music alone that have projected Coldplay to such starry heights of fame, the fact is that people are drawn to the excitable and passionate personalities of the band, and to Chris Martin in particular for his charming, if sometimes a little zany personality.
I have never been to see Coldplay live, despite wanting to. I simply wasn't on the ball enough to get tickets in the say . . . five seconds or so before they'd sold out, and I couldn't afford the £100+ price tag for tickets off ebay. I find it a little disappointing that you have to be very wealthy or very lucky to see these guys live. I suppose that's just the way it goes when a band has such a wide appeal.

Rose - I hope you read this!
I had the misfortune also to miss out on tickets on their last tour but I was very fortunate to manage to get some this time around. I had no idea where our seats would be when I booked but I thought well at least we've got tickets this time.
We saw them last Saturday in Sheffield. The seats weren't the best as we were right at the back (I would love to know how to get decent seats) but it was well worth it. The sound was perfect and the show they put on was amazing. As you rightly say the personality of Chris Martin and the band are just so loveable. They have a natural rapport with their audience and make you feel like you are in a room with a bunch of friends.
I particularly liked the way the stage was laid out. They had ramps coming out of either side of the stage into the audience which Chris used to full advantage. He must have one heck of a workout the way he flies around the stage. At one point they came onto a little stage in the middle of the arena and then to make everybody's night at the back they came all the way up to us and played. The effort to COME to their audience was just so lovely and appreciated by all I am sure.
I regularly go to concerts and I have never seen a band do that before. I can't wait to go and see them again. Chris announced that he hoped to be back in Sheffield again next year so keep an eye out they may be in an arena near you. You need to be sitting ready and waiting when they go on sale. I was and I believe only just managed to get some tickets. GOOD LUCK!!

Guys - you can't do this.
Great band. Management stinks. If you don't care about me ( a fan) then why should I care about you.
