Event Date: October 11, 2009
Event Venue: Cranage Hall
Harvey was the first half of a double bill with Gordon Giltrap, part of the Goostrey Arts and Music Festival 2009. He has a wonderful stage presence, intimate and very funny, but also a serious side which comes through strongly in his personal, thought-provoking, beautifully crafted songs. He fully engaged the audience and is highly recommended.
Event Date: 1973
Event Venue: Penthouse,Scarborough
I first saw HA perform in 1973 at the Penthouse, In Scarborough (long gone - the Penthouse not Scarborough) He was great, I caught him doing doing a show on R2 (The writer not the song?) I have all his albums and duplicated on CD - I look forward to any tour dates that are announced....
I first saw Harvey perform a year ago. It was one of the best evenings of music I've had. Harvey's songs cover the whole spectrum of life, love, death and current affairs together with haunting melodies. I found many of Harvey's songs very moving and his voice has that special timbre that hits the back of your neck and makes it tingle.Definately a special talent and a genuinly lovely guy.
I saw Harvey a couple of years ago in Kent> It was one of the best evenings I've ever had. Harvey's songs cover the whole spectrum of life, love ,current affairs with beautiful and insightful lyrics with enchanting melodies.
I found many of his songs very moving and Harvey's voice is of that timbre that hits the back of your neck and makes it tingle. A special talent and certainly a Songwriter's songwriter.
