A absolutely amazing evening with Barbara Dickson and her wonderful band of musicians - among whom Troy Donockley and Pete Zorn stood out for their  musicianship and superb singing.  But the star of the evening was Barbara Dickson - sounding better than ever, looking better than ever and performing a set - that while including many of her hit records -  was grounded in the traditional music which really informs her best work.  For example 'I Know Him So Well' has been transformed from an overblown 80s power ballad into a semi acoustic gem which illuminates what a good song it really is.
Barbara Dickson is one of the finest female singers the UK has ever produced and is a must see artist if you're interested in great songs sung and played to perfection.

Barbara Dickson is a rare gem on the British music scene. She is  superb singer, writer, musician and actress - but its as a live artist that she really excells and with a return to her folk roots - she's now producing some of the best music of her career.

What a fantastic night-there was no low point. So many acts are disappointing live but Barbara Dixon is actually better live. Beautiful voice, love the return to her folk roots and the old favourites sounded just as good all these years later. Best live performance I've seen for a long time .

A first class show not to be missed! I have been a fan of Barbara Dickson for many years and seen her many times. She just gets better and better. Brilliant voice, Brilliant songs, Brilliant band, If you can catch this show it is a must see.

I first saw Barbara Dickson many years ago at the Bothy Folk Club Southport, a ticket cost me three shillings and sixpence in old money. Since that time I have seen and heard her perform on several occasions and she has always given me great pleasure.  Unfortunately, living in Devon as I do now we miss out on top class performers like Barbara due to lack of suitable venues. Barnstaple again, please Barbara???
