FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Monday 17th March 2008
Ents24.com, the UK's largest guide to live entertainment, has today announced the addition of 'Days Out' to their hugely popular website. The new channel is launched alongside the existing website sections of live music, comedy, theatre, cinema and clubbing, and as the name suggests, will focus on events, attractions and places to visit during the day.
Catering for the family orientated audience, Ents24 today unveils Days Out to over one million monthly readers, giving them a whole new selection of places to visit and things to see and do. Covering zoos, museums, theme parks, exhibitions, circuses, heritage sites, galleries and many more attractions and events to enjoy on a day out, the new section launches with a huge competition to give one lucky family enough admission tickets to events and attractions in the UK to keep them busy until 2009!
Tim Gillions (Commercial Director) said, " The addition of 'Days Out', marks a significant change for the website. Having done a fantastic job over the last 8 years of giving people inspiration for which events to catch on a night out, the latest section is a natural progression of what ents24.com has come to do so well; giving people comprehensive information to plan their leisure time. It's a very simple move for Ents24, but one that we're positive will make a great difference to the user experience on the site."
Now listing thousands of attractions and events all over the UK, Ents24 has quickly established itself as an essential website to plan any day or night out. Working alongside an ever-increasing list of key ticketing retailers, Ents24 also strive to provide the widest selection of tickets all in one place and limit the need for their readers to search around the web to book their tickets.

30 April: Ents24's Gig@GuilFest competition is back.
Ents24.com is giving one band the chance to gig to thousands at massive UK festival!
For a second year running, Ents24.com is offering one band the chance to perform on the Ents24 stage at this year's huge GuilFest festival. Held on the 4th - 6th July at Stoke Park, Guildford, GuilFest is one of the longest running and largest festivals in the UK and this year one very lucky band will take centre stage in front of the 45,000 capacity crowds.
Registration for Ents24's Gig@GuilFest 2008 has already begun and any band or artist can sign up now by uploading their best slice of music genius at: www.ents24.com/gigatguilfest.
All submitted MP3s will be made available to stream on the hugely popular Ents24 website ready for the public vote. Registration finishes on the 19th May and from the 20th May it's all up to the fans and the 1 million visitors to Ents24.com to vote for their favourites. The artists voted into the top five will then face the panel of industry experts including: artist manager for Rob Da Bank, partner in indie record label Sunday Best and current producer of Pasha magazine: Ben Turner; singer, songwriter, solo artist, DJ and former member of Ash: Charlotte Hatherley; artist and record label manager for Little Sister Records:Annie Marie Shields; EMI studio group who control Olympic and Abbey Road Studios; GuilFest themselves and of course, the team at Ents24.com.
The panel will then choose one lucky band as the winner to Gig@GuilFest this year!
So, what's up for grabs?
The main prize, worth thousands of pounds to the winner, is a 30-minute prime time slot on the huge Ents24.com stage but that's not all; the lucky winner will also get all of these great prizes:
A FREE day session at London's legendary Olympic Studios. These studios have played host to some of the greatest recording sessions in history, including albums from The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin and are 5-times winner of Music Week's Best Recording Studio Award.
The first track on the Ents24 Stage Sounds 2008 CD, distributed to two thousand festivalgoers at the GuilFest festival.
Leaflets in every Ents24 Stage Sounds CD distributed at the festival.
Industry exposure. Ents24's good friends in the record industry and music circuit have agreed to help us pick a winner, so who knows where that might lead...
News articles and interviews with the winner to be featured on the Ents24 homepage and Festival Guide.
Gig@GuilFest not only offers a slot on stage at one of the largest independent UK festivals this year, but also gives each registered band exposure to the website's million monthly readers. It's an opportunity that very few 'battle of the band' style competitions can replicate!
As the UK's largest free guide to live entertainment, Ents24 is always ahead of the opposition when it comes to new talent. Last year's winners Kal-Els Cape were spotted at the festival and have since gone on to record the winning track "Gettin Back" with top producer Jay Reynolds who has recently worked with Just Jack (recording his No1 album) and Kylie Minogue.
