Live Review of U2
by Tim from Somerset

Quite simply this was stadium rock at it's very best. With the stadium roof closed, the sound was immense and the light show incredible. U2 have such a huge back catalogue that they can seemingly play forever without running out of classic songs - New Year's Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday,... [more]

Quite simply this was stadium rock at it's very best. With the stadium roof closed, the sound was immense and the light show incredible. U2 have such a huge back catalogue that they can seemingly play forever without running out of classic songs - New Year's Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Pride, With Or Without You and many many more. U2 tickets are never going to be cheap, but with a show lasting over 2 hours it was money very well spent. [less]

Live Review of Deacon Blue

From the moment he leaps on to the stage, Dara is instantly likeable, and more importantly - very funny. There must be a lot of routine jokes that he does every night, but his banter and interaction with the audience are so quick, and so face-hurtingly funny, that you're left with the feeling that this was a one off performance, just for you. It's impossible to re-tell any of the jokes here, but two of my favourites included a lengthy discussion with the audience on how to deal with burglars in your house, and Dara's encounter with a hotel's nightly "turn down team". Brilliant. [less]
