Recommendation for Metallica
by Rik

What can you say? Metallica are true metal gods. A lengthy career that shows no signs of stopping, this year they released Death Magnetic, which, whilst not blowing people away, still showed that they have what it takes to produce new music of a reasonable quality. Far more impressive is... [more]

Far more impressive is their live show, which is outstanding. [less]

Recommendation for The King Blues
by Rik

The King Blues are one step away from the limelight. Amazing feel-good (yet angry) music, they produce some beautiful tracks; check out 'My Boulder' for an example.

Recommendation for Rancid
by Rik

Ska -punk at its true best. Check out 'And Out Come the Wolves' for their glorious hey-dey. However, the other albums are just as strong, and vary from straight out punk rock (self titled ones) to really experimental music, combining things like dancehall with reggae (life wont wait). Truly inspirational.
