An amazing way to celebrate Halloween. The first support act coming from The joy Formidable, who were good although a bit too much reverd was used. The second support act, Max Tundra, was the most unique sound I've heard, combined with his odd dancing, possibly the most surreal performance I've seen! But still really good. Then, Passion Pit enter to the Rocky theme tune, with the guitarist, whose birthday it was, dressed in a robe. They go straight into Eyes As Candles, an amazing opener. The two best songs of the night have to be Little Secrets, with everyone shouting "higher and higher" right back at singer Michael Angelakos, and the other, the song Passion Pit are most known for, Sleepyhead. Definately one of the best gigs I've been to! [less]

Despite a dissappointing turnout, This City took to the stage and delivered another grin-inducing set for those few people lucky enough to witness. With as much energy and enthusiasm that moved much larger venues on the Kids In Glass Houses tour, where I first saw them, this performance showed they are on top form and ready to blast their insane talent into the ears of the rock masses. Every single time I've seen them they've never failed to impress or leave me with the satisfied smirk of someone who's encountered musical magic. I truly cannot understand how people can miss out on this act. Lets hope the next tour gets more attention, post album release. I sure can't wait ! [less]

arrived 8.10ish to find a rather sparse crowd i.e. nobody! the portents weren't good. matt(my son) and i viewed the equipment set-up, finding it extensive - and encouraging. 8.55 saw the band wander in, were these really gaz and danny? for a start there were three of them! matt and i bought more drinks and sat back resignedly - soon to be joined by clive who appeared rather the worse for marstons pedigree but who turned out to be a great evening's companion.shouted conversations concerning cliff richard, cozy powell, let there be dums, queen and lots of stuff it wasn't possible to hear, added to clive's dancing, made for a fantastic experience.
and the group? hot rats not THE hot rats provided a fabulous set of diverse covers to make the evening complete.
if you like your music loud, rocking and free catch them in the leominster area and marvel at zappa's 'MY GUITAR WANTS TO KILL YOUR MAMA' which i'd never heard before (see version on-line by G3).
so - a little disappointing but not unsurprising - did we really expect to see ex-supergrass members in leominster?
probably not.
