Davey Arthur is a sensational performer, whether he is with the Fureys or with his own band - The Davey Arthur Band. He plays and sings a wide range of Celtic/folk music. I have seen him so many times and recently travelled 6 hrs by train up to the Lake District and stayed overnight just to hear him. If you want magic, listen to him play his Irish tenor banjo. He is a gifted musician and plays the mandolin and guitar too. This legend also sings so sweetly; his voice will stir all your emotions! When performing with his own band of very talented musicians, Davey involves his audience and makes everyone feel part of the show. He introduces his songs by relating the history behind the lyrics and then invites his audience to join in the chorus of the well-known songs that he plays. Davey is charming, sociable and always spends time talking to people to make the whole evening more personal and memorable. In fact the "personal touch" has become his trademark. The Davey Arthur Band is an experience that you should have - more than once!
