Recommendation for James Hunter

Why is James Hunter still not 'made it?' Greatly respected, he's being going strong for 20 + years (from 'Howlin' Wilf' in the 80's, to 'James Hunt and his Jokers' 90's, and now (even slicker) as the James Hunter Band.

This guy is awesome, and his voice has perfect soulful/bluesy resonance (think the Sam Cooke / Jackie Wilson). We saw him a couple of months ago at Dingwall's, Camden.  A 'cheeky chappy' with a great voice, and a real talent + great on guitar (though, where's the harmonica gone?!) . The band are very 'tight' producing a very professional performance.  Go see for yourself- I guarentee you'll have a great night out.  FYI- James Hunter is performing Dingwalls, Camden Lock, early March 09... Saw Gareth on Sunday night at the Running Horse in Nottingham, supporting the great Jan Akkerman...keep your eye on this kid...he is (if there's any justice) going to be massive.  A fantastic guitarist with presence and personality.  Had a chat with him and his Dad (?) and they're both lovely people.  Five Stars would not do him justice.  If you get the chance go and see him soon before the £20 I paid on Sunday is £120 in a couple of years - I kid you not. Recommendation for Leonard Cohen

Listened to LC for years on CD etc, however, after last nights performance at the International Arena in Cardiff CD's will never ever sound the same again.
