Hilarious, original, clever, uplifting trio. Seen them twice at Wavendon Stables nr MK and Royal Royal Derngate Northampton (duplication of Royal intentional!). Advise don't sit in front row unless game for a laugh! Saw them 2nd time with most of a semi-pro orchestra who all thought amazing skill levels whilst performing comic routines. Classic tunes, well-known songs as you've never seen before! Even has a storyline. If you want to treat someone of ANY age to an original night out try this. Don't miss the start! Meet them after show too. Get CD and DVDs but best live. Ever changing act. [less]

A superb concert from the 40-strong local Northampton Concert Orchestra themed 'Music of the Dance'. Featuring styles across Europe. Opening with Tudor, folk and Spanish pieces, followed by Brahms Hungarian #1, Greig Norwegian #2 and Tangos etc. We were treated to two interludes English and Celtic folk dance music: jigs and reels - on fiddles, guitar, whistle and bodhran drum. All proceeds in aid of the Northampton General Hospital Volunteers (A team of over 150 patient guides, ward assistants, mobility train drivers and fund-raisers). Their chairman for 19 years, Richard Gill, suddenly passed away the previous week. This event became a musical tribute to a great local servant from our local orchestra that has selflessly raised funds for our local charities for over 100 years. All greatly appreciated by a loyal and proud audience. Next up Christmas show on Dec 12th and March 13th 2010 at this venue. See websites. [less]
