I played under the conductorship of Tim Redmond in the North Staffs. Symphony Orchestra from 1992 until 2002 - when Tim left to take up work nearer his London base

During his 8 seasons with us, the orchestra "grew" in confidence and the highlights of his time with us were playing the Mahler 2nd symphony for the orchestra's 90th birthday celectrations in 2004 and a concert performance of  "Carmen" in 2000 - as part of celebrations for the milenium.

He had a great rapport with the players and a great understanding of people and brought out the "best " in us all.

He is sadly missed.

Every succes to you now Tim.

Hi, my name is Toby and I actually work at the ICA.  Usually, we stand around with an air of cool detachment trying not to take an awful lot of notice of the bands.  Miserable Rich, however blew me away.  I thought they were great.  Soaring ethereal vocals (which conjured up so much imagery), great melodies and it's so refreshing having moody and sometimes spooky strings (and I always thought Double Basses were the preserve of Rockabilly bands).  Brilliant - I'm off to buy the CD as soon as the shops open (that's if no other record emporiums have gone down the pan).  Cheers - Toby Messer [less]

Yes and they were fantastic. Where are they now? I havent heard of them for quite some time now. Are they ever coming back to Aberdeen,  Scotland as they promised they would? I hope they are still together as I loved them and I really enjoyed my evening listening... [more]

I was indeed fortunate to have been at a William Joseph concert.  It is the most memorable amongst the many concerts I have been to until now.  He is endowed with deft piano playing skill and the talent of composing great melodies.  He is the most graceful and a cool pianist and his anecdotes in between his performances are hilarious!  He is a very generous artist and after every concert he comes out in the foyer to meet and greet his audience.  This gives a sweet personal touch to the whole concert experience.  His music is emotionally charged and he takes his audience on this great emotional journey with him giving them a fantastic and the most memorable time of their lives.
