Recommendation for The Illegal Eagles
by Sheila from Chesterfield

The Illegal Eagles are an outstanding band in their own right. Think beyond tribute acts, this is some of the best live music out there.  Don't take my word for it, go see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.  We went to see them for the first time... [more]

I'm hoping to get tickets for the Wimbledon show next Feb, can't wait.  Also, David has recorded tracks for a cd produced by former Radio One dj Mike Read which is out now. [less]

Have been a fan of Motorhead since I was a kid but never actually seem them live! My brother went to their 10th Anniversary at Hammersmith Odeon, but this was my first time, their 30th Anniversary Tour!
Their volume is stuff of legend, and its true, they are extremely loud!! They opened with Dr Rock then 3 sonngs in the Bass amp blows! They played many classics before ending on Overkill. A great band. Great live but again very very loud!! [less]

I've seen Jeff's original ELO band 5 times, got all records, so serious fan! Now seen 3 tribute bands and this is the best by far. Seen them at Flowerpot, Derby (nice-sized pub room) and Woodford Halse nr Daventry, J15 M1 Northampton (nice new friendly venue), both serve real ale... [more]

I've seen Jeff's original ELO band 5 times, got all records, so serious fan! Now seen 3 tribute bands and this is the best by far. Seen them at Flowerpot, Derby (nice-sized pub room) and Woodford Halse nr Daventry, J15 M1 Northampton (nice new friendly venue), both serve real ale and food, and hope to see this band again once over seroius car crash.
They do ALL the hits and sound like like them. The other 2 bands seen are Original Former Members (formally ELO II until Jeff's legal action stopped them) led by Bassist Kelly Groucutt, Mik Kiminski and Loius Clark etc are superb (saw in Nottingham with a 100 strong choir was amazing) BUT they add in their own compositions and sell new CDs which I don't think is right.  Magic - Kind of ELO are also good sound but lead singer does not play guitar and acts like he's cabaret/cruise singer, so best viewed with eyes shut. They also do Queen but on night we saw them at Stables, MK he had voice trouble, so he did ELO in 2nd half.
Check out ELO Experience, very nice chaps who told me they have strings at larger venues. Keep their music alive! [less]

Recommendation for Michael Jackson
by Susan

Saw him in 98 Wembley Bad Tour - THE BEST performer on the planet.  What a showman - he gives total value for money.  He is truly the King of Pop, his music, dancing and performance is second to none despite anything his critics will ever say. ... [more]

Saw him in 98 Wembley Bad Tour - THE BEST performer on the planet.  What a showman - he gives total value for money.  He is truly the King of Pop, his music, dancing and performance is second to none despite anything his critics will ever say.  I've been a fan since he started singing at 9 yrs of age and true creative talent can seem weird to cynics but his reputation for making excellent music speaks for itself!! Fantastic can't wait for July at O2. [less]
