Live Review of Spencer Davis

I saw the legendary Spencer at the Darlington Rhythm 'n' Brews festival 2009. He was backed by the fantastic Animals. He looked fit and sounded great for someone unbelievably in his seventies! All the big hits were there: I'm a Man; Somebody Help Me; When I Get Home; Gimme Some Lovin' and of course Keep on Runnin'. Absolutely brilliant singalong stuff. There were songs too from his early blues days which went down a treat with the large crowd flocking the market place. What better way is there than to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon listening to one of the true icons of the sixties still wowing an appreciative audience? [less]

I saw Mario in concert on Saturday 29th of August 2009, I was mesmerised from the very second he took to the stage.  His vocal was spot on and his costume changes were fantastic.  He was incredibly charismatic and involved the whole audience - the theatre was literally jumping!!  He was also very courteous and friendly at the meet and greet session after the concert.  He was happy to pose for photographs and sign autographs too.  He performed for 3 hours and was well worth the ticket price.  I'd pay to see him again any day. Recommendation for The Backbeat Beatles
by BjornRepair from Liverpool

They may not be as well known as the Bootleg Beetles but the small venues give a more personal experience and are probably closer to the real Fab Four when they were starting out. The dry scouse humour and attention to detail are brilliant.

Live Review of The Rollin' Stoned
by Phil & Sheena A from Northampton

Highly recommended, brilliant act, great sound similiar to Counterfeit Stones set of early stuff with authentic instruments, gear, wigs, scenery and surprise 'guest appearance'. A real fun party night.

Highly recommended, brilliant act, great sound similiar to Counterfeit Stones set of early stuff with authentic instruments, gear, wigs, scenery and surprise 'guest appearance'. A real fun party night.
Pub has two huge real ale bars but also a smaller bar in back room where bands play - perfect! Easy parking next door (multi-storey, Two Premier Inns just mile away).  First time seen band but 3rd visit (Tributes to ELO, Jean Genie too) from 60 miles away - worth the trip. Fantastic venue is 95% standing. Thanks to RAW promotions who do wonderful job-see web-site. [less]

Saw Off the Wall earlier this year in Lichfield they were truely amazing well worth seeing they gave an excellent rendition of all the classic Floyd tracks and I would definately be ready to hand over more money to see them again. My wife who claims not to like Floyd thought they were great and would gladly go and see them again. 'A Great Night Out' [less]
