In one of our August blog posts, we said big things were in the works, and we haven't disappointed. We've redesigned the site for our tenth birthday, drastically increased the amount of original content we produce, and now we even have our very own Facebook Fan Page!
Amassing well over a thousand loyal Ents24 fans in less than a week, it's been a storming success so far, featuring unique articles, artist interviews, Facebook only competitions and much discussion over the merits of X Factor.
It's no surprise that we've had such a positive response really, as it was our users who actually asked for the Facebook page in the first place! We're a firm believer in giving the customer what they want, and we just couldn't refuse the opportunity to interact with our fans on a more personal level.
So get yourself onto Facebook, check out the Ents24 Fan Page, and join the conversation today!

The 19th October 1999 is no ordinary day in history. It's the day that Ents24.com came bouncing into the world, full of hopes, dreams and a burning desire to change the way the UK found out about live entertainment. Ents24 has filled its own corner of the Internet for a decade, so it's time for celebrations and to say hello to the new shiny version of Ents24, with a reminder of how it all began...

Back in the days of 56k dial up, where no one had heard of a blog and poking your friends at random resulted in a black eye, three students from Bristol University decided that something needed to be done to make finding out what's going on a whole lot easier. Like all the best ideas, Ents24 was created after one heavy night down the local and started out as a content provider for other companies, like Vodafone, O2 (or BT Cellnet as they were then), ITV, Thomson Local and The Sunday Times to name but a few. Ents24.com version 1 was created mainly to demonstrate the scale and skill of the service and looked a little bit like this - complete with spelling mistakes and one brilliant logo...

After a couple of years of this dazzling design, the team thought it was about time to get the graphic designers in. As the website focus began to change in 2001 towards becoming an entertainment guide its own right, version 2 emerged and introduced some of the standard features that you'll still be able to see on Ents24 today, like our top new tours section.

Then came a site a little bit closer to the one you know and (hopefully) love! It was a lot more visually appealing and this version gave us tons more space to bring you the things that are really important; like top news, competitions, features and reviews and dedicated space for our guides.

And now, ten years on from the site of only four colours, we bring you Ents24 version 4...
We like it and we think it delivers the best features in the clearest ways, but tell us what you think. Just and let us know! We always love to hear your thoughts.
Right, we're off to scoff cake!
Lets face it, Ents24 has the most accurate, most detailed, most all encompassing listings in the UK. It's pretty difficult to refute this claim when our team adds literally hundreds upon hundreds of new events every single working hour! Ents24 has become synonymous with quality and quantity when it comes to knowing what's on.
It has to be said though, we provide some pretty cool original written content too, stuff you might not have checked out yet, but really should! Our editorial team busies themselves day and night putting together our definitive guides, staff picks and what's hot in the world of going out.
Why is it so good? Well you see, because we have a huge database of national listings at our disposal, we can piece together the cream of the crop when it comes to live entertainment, and our fiercely independent approach to the industry means that our users know they can trust our opinions on the subject matter at hand. Not only that, but our Have Your Say section, available on every artist and venue page, enables our users to post their thoughts and experiences on previous events, ensuring a well-rounded, totally unbiased, collaborative opinion on our site.
So when you get a chance, take a peek at our front page, you might just see something you like!
