Pontypool-born Bradfield's musical career is readily recognised with the success of the Manic Street Preachers, who rose to fame during the '90s and peaked with the album This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours, following the disappearance of bandmate Richey James Edwards. Bradfield's work in recent years has been mostly in the vein of collaboration and production, seeing him work with Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue and Patrick Jones, as well as having remixed for Massive Attack. 2006 sees James starting to perform solo, and release records under his own name.
