The Sunshine Underground

Described by themselves as simply 'a party band', Leeds band The Sunshine Underground are a fine mix of indie and dance music infused with electronic beats and bleeps, funky bass lines and epic, rousing choruses. With a particular dislike of playing big venues they prefer small, late night gigs, encouraging a houseparty atmosphere. Admitting themselves that making the same kind of music gets boring, The Sunshine Underground have a different offering in every track and, in their own words are "...four lads writing music because they want to and playing it to other people because they want to hear it."
