Gov't Mule

Originally formed as a side project by Allman Brothers members Warren Haynes and Allen Woody, Gov't Mule developed a sound which mixed Southern rock with a more bluesy pschedelic feel. Allen Woody's sad death in 2000 was a major setback, but after a temporary hiatus the band came back. They continue to make music with passion, driven by the need to do something different for each record without ever losing the characteristic Gov't Mule spirit.
