Jawbone is a one-man band, that man being Bob Zabor of Detroit, who plays harmonica, guitar, and drums (well, bass drum and tambourine) and sings. Singing and playing his harmonica through a deliberately primitive microphone and putting his guitar through a tiny amp gives him a nicely down-home sound that recalls the sort of blues heard on small indie labels in the 50s. He's an excellent guitarist whose styles by turns suggest Lightning Hopkins, Zoot Horn Rollo, and hyper fill-all-the-space strumming.
