Airport Girl are an eight piece band from Nottingham. They began life as a shambolic indiepop band back at the turn of the millennium. Debut album 'Honey I’m an Artist' was released in 2001 on Fortuna Pop! / Matinee Recordings. The release of the second album 'Slow Light' in 2007 on Fortuna Pop! saw a more downbeat, orchestral country-pop sound. This seemed to maximise the potential in the vocals of singer and songwriter Rob Price and received much plaudit from the critics. 'The true heirs in a lineage of such elegant bands as Felt and The Go-Betweens' -SoundsXP
