Matchbook Romance -

Back in 2001, armed with a modest bouquet of six tunes, this New York based band constructed a website and began a relentless word-of-mouth crusade on the web. When Epitaph honcho/Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz, started trawling the 'net for the band with that Special Something, Matchbook Romance's melodic brand of hardcore punk immediately stood out, and the band were signed straight away. Not bad on the basis of just six MP3s.
