In the early 70s, SAHB released eight albums and toured almost constantly gaining a reputation as the best live band in the UK and at one point were the biggest-grossing live act in the country. Alex quit the band in 1977, continuing to tour as New Alex Harvey Band. Eventually his hard livin' lifestyle caught up with him and he suffered a heart attack and died at the end of a European tour in 1982. Over 20 years on, the SAHB are in the studio and back on the road with guest vocalists filling Alex's unfillable boots, and bringing the delights of Faith Healer, Delilah and Framed to a new generation.
