The mongrel jazz lovechild of unidentifiable parents, The Blessing is inspired by sources as diverse as drum & bass, Ornette Coleman, North African food, Bristol's werewolf population, and cross-dressing toys. The rhythm section of Jim Barr (double-bass) and Clive Deamer (drums) reunites the awesome backline of Portishead, while Jake McMurchie (saxophone) and Pete Judge (trumpet) are renowned for their rapt and inventive playing.
